    LS-56-072 - Overview

The LS-56 comes equipped with the LR-5200-072 receiver, Listen's new generation of personal listening products, iDSP or Intelligent Digital Signal Processing. The iDSP 72MHz receiver revolutionizes how an RF system works, offering precise clarity with 20 dB less hiss than other RF receivers. The new integrated neck loop improves the experience for people who have hearing aids and cochlear implants with telecoils. Sleek and small, the iDSP receiver has a field replaceable, non-proprietary rechargeable lithium-ion battery, making obsolete the use of alkaline and NiMH batteries. Battery life is eight hours, with a 2.5-hour charge time. The result is an innovative personal listening technology and solution that delivers an exceptional listening experience for end users and an optimal experience for the venues that provide listening devices.
Venues will find this system ideal when one receiver is used with multiple transmitters (audio sources) and users need the convenience of changing the channels themselves and programming of multiple channels is desired, so that users select only from the active channels. The included integrated neck loop/lanyard and signage ensures the system meets the minimum legislative requirements for venues with a capacity up to 100. Telescoping antenna gives smaller venues the option for using the transmitter within a 700 ft. (213.4 m) range.

    Important FAQ's!
Can the LR-5200 be used with multiple transmitters? Yes. It can also be programmed to lock out channels not in use.
What is the transmission range of the LS-56-072 system? Up to 700 ft. (213.4 m) with the included telescoping antenna (LA-106). For greater range up to 1,500 ft. (457.2 m) the universal antenna kit options found in the Level II and II Advanced systems.
How long will the LR-5200 run on a fully charged battery? The LR-5200 will run continuously for 8 hours on a fully charged battery.
What type of battery technology does the LR-5200 use? The LR-5200 uses a non-proprietary field replaceable Lithium Ion battery.
Is there a limit to the number of transmitters I can use in one room? Yes. The 72 MHz LT-800-072 has a maximum of eight.
What is the purpose of Squelch? The purpose of squelch is to mute the audio output of your receiver when the signal from the transmitter is turned off or is too weak to be received. Without squelch you would hear radio noise in your earphone. The squelch function can be programmed to the desired setting.
What is the function of SQ? To reduce noise of the systems, Listen offers a noise reduction technology called ListenSQ (on 72 MHz and 216 MHZ only). Both the transmitter and receiver must have SQ on to achieve the desired results. If you are planning to use this product with older Listen systems or equipment not manufactured by Listen, you should disable SQ.
What is the difference between the LR-5200 and the LR-4200? The main difference is that the LR-5200 is programmable with a multi-function Listen button. It gives the user an opportunity to program only the desired channels and lockout the unused channels. This makes it simple to operate for end users that need to select between multiple active channels. The Listen Button can also be used to search for an active channel and lock the receiver on a specific channel.
How many LR-5200 receivers can I use in a system? The LS-56 includes four (4) but you can use as many as you need, the number is endless.
How long does it take to fully charge the LR-5200? It varies dependent on the depletion of the battery. A fully depleted battery will charge in 2.5 hours or less.

PLEASE NOTE: This product contains Lithium Ion Batteries. Due to FAA regulation this item is restricted to ground transportation in the lower 48 contiguous states and cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
