S45-B003 - Overview

• Features:

  • For Large Diameter LAN Cables. The Simply45™ S45-B003 is designed to work with most large diameter LAN cables. It can work with cable diameters up to 8.5mm (0.33"). We recommend this strain relief/boot for all Shielded with External Ground RJ45 modular plugs. You can also use these strain reliefs with other unshielded large-diameter LAN cables such as Cat6 Shielded and Cat6 Shielded Direct Burial.
    
    Prolongs Life of the Termination. The S45-B003 takes the strain off the terminated plug. When you do not use a strain relief, any contact with the plug or cable puts strain directly on the terminated plug. Over time this could cause one or more of the RJ45 pins to become loose. If a pin becomes lose it will create electrical resistance. Resistance creates heat. This could then cause performance problems or damage to the device socket.
    
    Fits Over the Terminated RJ45 Modular Plug. The S45-B003 is designed to fit over Simply45™ shielded with external ground RJ45 modular plugs.
    
    Maintains Correct Bend Radius of the Termination. The Simply45™ S45-B003 Strain Reliefs protect the terminated RJ45 from damage during the life of the link or channel. Maintaining industry standards bend radius is important for maximizing the link/channel performance.
